Nice to believe the Japanese have found materials able to stand the tensile strength of a 23,000 mi elevator to space. The idea for an elevator to space has been around for decades.

I’ve proposed building a space elevator on Europa to elevate water from below the surface-ice into space and propelled as large water drops to Mars for taraforming. Hopefully the atmosphere at Mars is dense enough to vaporize those water-ice droplets aiding in the taraforming of Mars. Otherwise, the droplets hitting the surface would work.

Of course, we would need consider any life forms discovered on Europa.
