This talks about the changing dynamics of jobs and relation to AI. While there are a lot of apprehensions of AI killing jobs but it highlights that there are several new jobs being created by AI. It also stresses the need for professionals and students to reskill themselves in areas as diverse as AI and automation. So the argument that AI is going to kill jobs is not valid. Instead it enforces the argument that reskilling is most important.

The complexity and rise of data in healthcare means that artificial intelligence (AI) will increasingly be applied within the field. Several types of AI are already being employed by payers and providers of care, and life sciences companies. The key categories of applications involve diagnosis and treatment recommendations, patient engagement and adherence, and administrative activities. Although there are many instances in which AI can perform healthcare tasks as well or better than humans, implementation factors will prevent large-scale automation of healthcare professional jobs for a considerable period. Ethical issues in the application of AI to healthcare are also discussed.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies are increasingly prevalent in business and society, and are beginning to be applied to healthcare. These technologies have the potential to transform many aspects of patient care, as well as administrative processes within provider, payer and pharmaceutical organisations.

What is an AI Graphic Design Tool?

Artificial intelligence (AI) models human intelligence processes in computers and computer-controlled robots. This enables computer systems to undertake arduous jobs, allowing people to concentrate on more vital matters.

As a result, the need for AI integrations in the workplace has grown over time. In fact, researchers project that the global AI software industry will be worth $791.5 billion by 2025.

The media frenzy surrounding ChatGPT and other large, language model, artificial intelligence systems spans a range of themes, from the prosaic – large language models could replace conventional web search – to the concerning – AI will eliminate many jobs – and the overwrought – AI poses an extinction-level threat to humanity. All of these themes have a common denominator: large language models herald artificial intelligence that will supersede humanity.

But large language models, for all their complexity, are actually really dumb. And despite the name “artificial intelligence,” they’re completely dependent on human knowledge and labor. They can’t reliably generate new knowledge, of course, but there’s more to it than that.

ChatGPT can’t learn, improve or even stay up to date without humans giving it new content and telling it how to interpret that content, not to mention programming the model and building, maintaining and powering its hardware. To understand why, you first have to understand how ChatGPT and similar models work, and the role humans play in making them work.

The report further says 40 percent of workers will need to polish their skills due to the implementation of AI.

Artificial intelligence (AI) won’t replace employees anytime soon. But people who use AI will replace people who don’t, said tech giant IBM in its report, which talks about the implications of AI in businesses.

Companies are rapidly introducing AI into their workings to free up their employees’ time so they can focus on issues that require their personalized attention. The thing about AI is that it will do exactly what you train it to do. So, the hyperboles around the latest technology snatching away people’s jobs and taking over humanity can calm down.

The robot’s memory is so large that it can memorise all Jeppesen navigation charts, a task that is impossible for human pilots.

Both artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics have made significant strides in recent years, meaning most human jobs could soon be overtaken by technology — on the ground and even in the skies above us.

A team of engineers and researchers from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) is currently developing a humanoid robot that can fly aircraft without needing to modify the cockpit.

Artificial intelligence has been blamed for thousands of layoffs — but a lucky few who are trained in the red-hot technology could find lucrative jobs paying as much as $900,000 a year. Streaming service Netflix touts an opening for a machine-learning platform product manager on its website that pays anywhere from $300,000 to $900,000 per year, including base salary and bonus.

The role requires tech junkies to “define the strategic vision for MLP [Machine Learning Platform]” and measure its success. Candidates can report to an office in Los Gatos, Calif., or work remotely in the West Coast timezone.

Summary.

What will artificial intelligence do to industries and jobs? For a preview, look to the finance industry which has been incorporating data and algorithms for a long time, and which is always a canary in the coal mine for new technology. The experience of finance suggests that AI will transform some industries (sometimes very quickly) and that it will especially benefit larger players. But it may not leave the overall system better off.
