Orbital Farm will spend the next 20 years prototyping and developing the technology to build 200 circular megaprojects in arid regions around the planet. Watch Scot Bryson, Orbital Farm – CMS Astro 2022 and Mini Jamboree 2020 : Scot Bryson of Orbital Farm. Closed loop Farms for Earth and Space.
Scot spent his life and career as a problem solver. After his one-year Internship at the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Scot became Junior Creative and Administrative Assistant at Pirate Sound – Radio and Television for the next four years until 2005.
In 2005, Scot cofounded Stone Canoe, where he was the President, building a digital advertising agency from humble beginnings to a multimillion-dollar 30-person agency.
They developed groundbreaking and award-winning campaigns in the digital advertising world with a focus on innovation, experience, and storytelling. Their work focused on large national brands like H&R Block, UFile, General Electric, Samsung Canada, Singapore Airlines and Tourism, Hankook Tires, Royal Bank of Canada, TD Canada Trust, and Target Canada.
Scot built a media buying division in the company which helped to bring together strategy, media, and creativity into the company, helping land much larger national-scale clients like H&R Block.
Stone Canoe was purchased by The CHR Media Group in Nov 2013 which helped to propel it to develop client relationships across Canada and the US while also growing the team and ultimately merging the agency together with Colour, another digital advertising agency acquired by The CHR Group in 2015.
After the company was sold in 2013, Scot became an Investment Advisor and Partner at The CHR Group, where he worked with the M&A team to identify and assist in acquiring new agencies. During this time, Scot Founded CHR Media Group within The CHR Group to be able to offer media buying and planning services.
Through this experience, while working as an Adviser and Mentor, Scot realized that there were bigger challenges the world needed solving like Climate Change, World Hunger, and a healthier planet. He realized the need for a circular project development company that can rapidly build large-scale novel technology projects that make an impact in the world and has the ability to rapidly finance and deploy these projects all around the world. He decided to make a bigger contribution to the world and started by assisting in commercializing and scaling a novel biotechnology company Kiverdi between 2016 and 2018, before he founded Orbital Farm.
In 2019, Scot became an Advisor on Agriculture Bonds and Protected Agriculture Certification. As part of the Industry Working Group with the Climate Bonds Initiative, he has been actively assisting in developing a certification program to enable the development of bonds to fund climate-resilient agriculture investments. This includes biotechnology, drought-resistant crops, and farm upgrades.
Scot was also Impact Member at Top Tier Impact, a global members-only community for investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals who are focused on solving critical issues.
