He has a particular focus on the new models of leadership, collaboration, and innovation required to sustain and differentiate brands in a rapidly changing reality. Steve helps clients understand the key future factors driving innovation, growth, and disruptive change, highlighting the new thinking and business models being enabled by exponential technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, 3D printing, the Internet of Things, and hyper-connectivity.
He explores the mindset shifts and leadership capabilities required to compete in the emerging future in order to help clients and delegates make informed choices now on the future potential impact of emerging technologies.
Steve hosts the podcast Informing Choices Mini-Pod, a podcast designed to provide insight on how we enable a very human future by exploring the future of different topics. Steve talks to domain experts and futurists to explore the challenges and opportunities of our rapidly evolving future.
Previously he was Chief Operating Officer, Associate Consultant, and Speaker at Fast Future from 2015 until 2020. This company specializes in foresight and generating future insight through keynote speaking, consultancy, and publishing.

Steve is a regular contributor to the BBC having appeared on live national and regional radio and TV broadcasts, live broadcasts with other national radio broadcasters, and on various podcasts and online events to discuss the role of emerging technologies in the future of life, society, and business. Steve has previously worked as an independent Strategy Consultant and Foresight Researcher.
He began his career at Pfizer in 1978 and was there for more than 28 years. He started as Accounts Clerk and continued as Manufacturing Budget Analyst until 1989, when he became Budget Analyst on the Animal Health Business. He stayed in the Animal Health department until 1997, when he moved to the Pharmaceutical Business as Marketing Controller for the next four years.
Between 2001 and 2005, Steve was Strategy Development Analyst and Manager, before finally becoming Partnership Development Manager until 2007. Steve was in Pfizer’s UK business where he worked across the C-suite and senior manager level to lead and facilitate the company’s strategic planning process.
Steve is a co-editor of The Future of Business, Technology vs. Humanity,and 50:50-Scenarios for the Next 50 Years.
