Professor Samuel Gerald Collins

Samuel Gerald Collins, Ph.D. is Chair, Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice, Towson University.
 
Sam is a cultural anthropologist interested in information society and globalization, primarily in the United States and Korea. His M.A. in Anthropology and Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology are from American University in Washington, D.C. Before he became Chair and Professor at Towson University, he taught at Dongseo University in Pusan, South Korea. During 2006–2007, he spent a Fulbright year at Kookmin University in Seoul.
 
Sam authored All Tomorrow’s Cultures: Anthropological Engagements with the Future and Library of Walls: The Library of Congress and the Contradictions of Information Society, and coedited Handbook of Research on Agent-Based Societies: Social and Cultural Interactions.
