Safwan Zaheer, MSc is a global product and strategy leader with extensive experience in building progressive new businesses, products and strategies in top rated Fortune 100 companies like Barclays, AOL, and Alcatel-Lucent.
 
Safwan is currently Director Digital Payments and Commerce Strategy at Barclays responsible for product strategy and planning for emerging digital products. Prior to Barclays, he spent time at a management consulting firm where he provided strategic advice to two industry leading clients including Facebook. Before consulting, he led strategy and partnerships at AOL. He started his career at Lucent Technologies where he held a number of different roles including launching key emerging mobile products in Europe and Asia.
 
Safwan earned his MS in Management and Engineering from MIT and a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
