Ryan Bethencourt, MBE

Ryan Bethencourt, MBE is Director of Business Development at PAREXEL.
 
Ryan joined PAREXEL Early Phase in 2008 as Director of Business Development with responsibilities for managing business and corporate development functions and establishing strategic clinical collaborations on the West Coast and with key accounts in the Northeast US.
 
Prior to joining PAREXEL, Ryan was with Quintiles, Inc where he served as Manager of European Business Development for Phase I/II Clinical Development Programs, based in London, England. During his time with Quintiles he worked in partnership with most major Pharmaceutical and emerging Biotech companies to successfully conduct a broad range of early clinical development studies. Earlier in his career, he worked in a variety of sales and business development roles within Pfizer, Merck, and Cephalon.
 
He earned a Master’s in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge and a BS degree in Biology and Genetics from the University of Warwick. His masters course was the first of its kind in the UK and it was a fusion of the MBA/Biotech courses. Ryan is also a published author in the field of Biotechnology Business Development and is involved with startup biotech ventures.
