Marcus Barber, MSc is a Strategic Futurist and one of Australasia’s top Value Systems specialists, assisting clients with advanced strategic thinking and innovation processes. His skills have been utilized by Telstra, Victoria Police, HomeGround Services, Swinburne University, Deakin University, City of Greater Dandenong, CPA Australia, Gold Coast Water, General Motors, Fosters Australia, the Australian Sports Commission, Ernst and Young, ABF Singapore, VicUrban, Central Highlands Water, DIIRD, Assure Programs, and AP Touring, among many others.
 
An energetic and engaging speaker, he a Visiting Fellow delivering the strategic futures block at the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies in Canberra, the premiere management training program for the Department of Defence that brings military personnel from around the globe to a year-long residential strategy training program.
 
Marcus was co-presenter on the National Geographic Channel’s TV series Future Matters, author of The Money Tree and How to Grow One – Creating Success in Your Business and is currently finishing Killing Trends: the Graceful Art of Innovation. He is the founder of the Australian Strategic Planning Institute and an advisory board member of the Australian Bill of Rights Initiative. He has been published in a number of journals around the world and is a regular contributor to Australasia’s leading innovation magazine Fast Thinking.

He earned his Master of Science in Strategic Foresight at the Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) in 2004. He earned his Graduate Certificate in Teaching & Learning at Napier University in 2006. He is a Professional Life Member of the World Futures Society, a Member of the Association of Professional Futurists, and Fellow of the Australian Sales & Marketing Institute.
