Junaid Mian, RPh

Junaid Mian, RPh, is a pharmacist, entrepreneur, and investor with a vision for the future. He sees the burgeoning space economy as an engine for economic growth, improved human healthspan, and catalyst for human evolution. This passion led him to invest early in Axiom Space, the world’s first commercial space station, and other innovative NewSpace startups like Orbit Fab and Solstar Space.
 
Currently, Junaid serves as a Venture Partner at 1435 Capital Management, leading their biotech investments. He’s constantly seeking promising terrestrial and space-based biotech startups focused on combating age-related diseases to extend human healthspan.
 
Junaid’s commitment to the future extends to education. As a Board Member at the EarthLight Foundation, he spearheads Project DreamScopes. This initiative provides middle school students with an online platform powered by Slooh to interact with live telescopes and satellites, fostering interest in space and STEM careers.
 
He also holds an advisory role with Boryung, a South Korean healthcare investment company, where he contributes to the Humans In Space Challenge. Boryung, driven by its mission to improve human health, is actively expanding into the space healthcare sector.
 
Further demonstrating his commitment to space exploration, Junaid is an evaluator for NASA’s InSPA program. This program supports companies in developing space-based products and services, fostering a sustainable and profitable commercial space industry.
 
Junaid’s journey began in 1999 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at Saint Joseph’s University.
