Professor Jeffery A. Martin

Jeffery A. Martin, Ph.D. is the director of the Center for the Study of Non-Symbolic Consciousness and Visiting Assistant Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
 
Jeffery is a Harvard-trained social scientist who researches personal transformation. He specializes in bringing rigorous empirical research and testing to transformational techniques and theories that have previously been supported anecdotally. He is a leading expert on both intentionality and non-symbolic consciousness (enlightenment, nonduality, mystical experience, union with God/nature, etc.).
 
He holds several graduate degrees and specializes academically in technology, psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, and transformative studies. A bestselling author and award winning educator, Jeffery has coedited, authored, or coauthored over 20 books and numerous other publications; appeared in a wide variety of media; and lectured broadly in both academic and public forums.
 
Portions of his research on Non-Symbolic consciousness are also available in the popular novel, The Fourth Awakening.

In addition to his research and academic interests, Jeffery is a successful entrepreneur, technologist, and business leader who has founded and sold companies in the technology, media, real estate, and wellness sectors. He currently serves in a variety of equity-based advisory positions for a range of companies within these industries.
 
Jeffery began his career in media in 1984 rising to work on hundreds of commercials and television episodes, thousands of newscasts, and most major international sports championships by 1993. That same year he began his first work with online / interactive new media. Since this time he has remained on the leading edge, building several related companies along the way.
 
He has routinely been involved in major, cutting-edge projects. For example, in 1995–1996 he directed a project to revolutionize the way broadcast commercials were made, distributed, scheduled, and tracked for InterPublic Group. This project pioneered technologies such as video servers/LANs, digital asset management, and much more.
