Dr. Haris Dindo
Haris
Dindo,
Ph.D. is
Research Scientist and Assistant Professor,
Robotics Lab,
Computer Science Engineering (DINFO),
University of Palermo, Italy.
Haris is investigating applications of advanced
forms of social learning and verbal interaction in robotics. His work is
focused on developing new computational and architectural models,
inspired by recent findings in neurology (mirror neurons) and cognitive
sciences (theory of mind), for advanced social interactions in
artificial agents. It is an interdisciplinary research, with
contributions ranging from behavioral and cognitive sciences, to
neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
His
ultimate goal is
to develop a robotic system which can learn behaviors through
observation and imitation, acquire a language through its own
experience, and engage in complex interaction with humans.
Haris coauthored
A Posture Sequence Learning System for an
Anthropomorphic Robotic Hand,
A Cognitive Architecture for Robotic Hand
Posture Learning,
Damages of digitized historical images as objects for content based
applications,
Representation, Recognition and Generation of
Actions in the context of Imitation Learning,
People Tracking and Posture Recognition for Human-Robot
Interaction, and
Anchoring by Imitation Learning in Conceptual Spaces.
