Chief Startup Officer and Cofounder at Seedcoin and
Founder of the
Bitcoin Institute.
Seedcoin is the world’s first seed-stage bitcoin startup virtual
incubator.
The objective of Seedcoin is to incubate and fund cryptocurrency
startups developing products and services such as exchanges, web &
mobile payment solutions, applications, and hardware and then guide them
through
the first key stages of their development. Seedcoin aims to develop at
least 15 bitcoin-centric startups in the first year of incubation.
Seedcoin incubates both its own bitcoin business ideas and external
seed-stage startups.
The Bitcoin Institute is a think tank
devoted to independent research focused on the challenges and
opportunities of the integration of cryptocurrencies in society and
their impact on the economy.
Eddy has been active in deal structuring, fund management, and
private
equity investments in China for the last eight years (closing deals in
China’s retail, FMCG, agrifood, hi-tech, and new media). He has
been doing sourcing and
qualification of startups as investment targets in emerging markets such
as South East Asia, Turkey, and MENA.
Eddy earned his
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the
International University of Monaco in 1992.
He studied Financial Engineering at Stanford University from 2007 to
2008 in an executive-level program
designed for investment professionals.
