Dmitriy Tseliakhovich, M.Sc.

Dmitriy Tseliakhovich, M.Sc. is Graduate Student, Astrophysics at California Institute of Technology. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Caltech Graduate Student Counsel. His mission in life is to open space for commercial, social, and scientific exploration.
 
His research experience includes dark matter from particle physics and astrophysical perspectives, theory of inflation and formation of the first structures, shocks in supernovae remnants, theories beyond the Standard Model, and novel concepts of space propulsion.
 
In 2010, Dmitriy initiated the formation of Escape Dynamics LLC with the goal of developing a revolutionary space launch system based on the concept of external propulsion. The space launch system currently investigated by Escape Dynamics has a unique potential to drop the cost of space access by more than an order of magnitude and finally open space for medium- and small-size businesses.
 
During the first year of Escape Dynamics development he secured funding for the company, assembled a large network of industrial and academic partners, built an ambitious team of expansive thinkers, and started an active collaboration with the research group of Professor Harry Atwater at Caltech, securing the lab for prototype development. He is actively collaborating with the research group of Dr. Kevin Parkin from the Carnegie Mellon University located at NASA Ames Research Center, Singularity University, Autodesk, Microwave Sciences and a number of other companies. Initial development of Escape Dynamics is supported by the technology-investment firm Beyond the Edge LLC.
 
Dmitriy’s papers include Non-Gaussianity and large-scale structure in a two-field inflationary model, Relative velocity of dark matter and baryonic fluids and the formation of the first structures, and Dark matter in a Simplest Little Higgs with T-parity model.
 
Dmitriy earned his B.Sc. in Physics from Belarusian State University in 2006, his M.Sc. in Theoretical Particle Physics in 2008, graduated from Singularity University in 2010, and is currently finishing up his Ph.D. in Astrophysics at Caltech.
