Dietmar
Bruckner, Ph.D. is
Technical Manager – Open Automation Technologies at
Bernecker + Rainer Industrie-Elektronik Ges.m.b.H..
Dietmar was previously Project Manager at
Vienna University of Technology.
He managed the cognitive automation research group where
his research interests included ambient assisted living, intelligent
environments, intelligent automation systems, and, in general, models
for more intelligent decision units.
He

Dietmar is the Secretary of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Technical
Committee on Building Automation, Control, and Management and the
Chapter Coordinator of the IEEE Austria Section. He is a member of the
Austrian Electrotechnical Association. He has been actively involved in
organizing international IEEE conferences as Technical Program Chair,
Track Chair, and Special Session Chair.
Dietmar earned his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering
at the Vienna University of Technology in 2004. He earned his Ph.D.
degree in Technical Sciences at the Vienna University of Technology
in 2007 with the dissertation
