He earned his Licence in Physics and Chemistry at University of Aix-Marseille 1 in 1983, his Masters (with Honors) in Behavioral Neurosciences at University of Aix-Marseille 3 in 1985, his DESS in Computer Science at University of Aix-Marseille 2 in 1986, his DEA in Intelligent Systems at University of Aix-Marseille 3 in 1987, and his Doctorate in Computer Science at University of Montpellier 2 in 1990 with the thesis “Connectionist sequential models of learning”.
