Ana Jerković, M.A.
Ana Jerković, M.A. is the Coordinator of the Croatian Forum at the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and Executive Editor at Science Art and Religion. Currently, she works at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in Croatia.
Ana has been a member and Associate at Democracy Without Borders, which strives for a democratic world community by promoting a right to democracy at all levels, for global institutions that are democratic and effective, and for equal global citizenship.
Since 2021, Ana has been an Associate Fellow at the World Academy of Art and Science. The Academy serves as a forum for reflective scientists, artists, and scholars dedicated to addressing the pressing challenges confronting humanity today independent of political boundaries or limits.
Ana is the Vice-President of Pugwash Croatia. The Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs is an international organization that brings together scholars and public figures to work toward reducing the danger of armed conflict and to seek solutions to global security threats.
In 2022, Ana was one of the Organizers of The Security, Science, and Peace Conference 2022, organized by the World Academy of Art and Science and Pugwash Croatia. It brought together scientists, researchers, politicians, and experts from around the world to discuss and tackle the issues of global security, science, technology, peace policies, intersectoral collaborations, hybrid threats, and contemporary leadership. Since 2016, she has been the Coordinator of the Croatian Forum at The European Academy of Sciences and Arts, a non-governmental, European association committed to promoting scientific and societal progress.
Since 2016, Ana has been the Deputy Editor in Chief at the Diplomatic Magazine “Voice of National Diplomacy” and was for more than six years Senior Advisor and Project Manager for the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia until 2023.
Ana began her career as an Author and Editor at Slobodna Dalamcija, a Croatian daily newspaper published in Split where Ana worked for six years.
In 2012, she became the Advisor in the Minister’s Cabinet at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds of the Republic of Croatia. In 2013, she became the Advisor to the Minister and to the Deputy Prime Minister until 2016.
Between 2016 and 2021, Ana was an Advisor for Economic Relations at the Coordination of Croatian Friendship Societies.
In 2019, Ana became a Member of the Steering Committee of the Croatian Club of Rome, a nonprofit, informal organization of intellectuals and business leaders whose goal is a critical discussion of pressing global issues.
Ana earned her Master’s Degree of Arts in Economic Sciences from the University of Zagreb. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Business Economics from the Faculty of Economics Business and Tourism of Split.
